Abstract

Revenues at Portland's Riverside Street landfill, known as Hamlin's Pit, have nearly doubled this year from last, from $136,102 in fiscal year 1992 to $261,937 in fiscal year 1993. A reduction in dumping rates and opening up the facility to South Portland are two factors which contributed to the revenue increase.
