Maine Attorney General Michael E. Carpenter has indicated a grand jury may seek indictments in connection with a possible attempt to cover up the state's recent ballot-tampering scandal. Carpenter also said prosecutors are prepared to seek the indictment of Kenneth Allen, to aide to House Speaker John L. Markin, if Allen refuses to plead guilty. Details.
