Abstract

A sting operation by the American Lung Association of Maine and the Kennebec County Sheriff's Department revealed that nearly 70 percent merchants selling tobacco would sell to underage minors. The operation was conducted in Cumberland, Kennebec, Penobscot and Waldo counties. Maine law prohibits sale of tobacco to minors.
