Abstract

An 11-mile stretch of the Maine Turnpike north of Exit 12 is being repaved through a process that recycles the old pavement after ripping it up and mixing it with a few fresh ingredients. The repaving contract, awarded to a Texas firm called Remixer, will save the Turnpike Authority nearly $500,000 over conventional paving methods. Details.
