Abstract

A gay-rights bill will be considered in the Legislature for the ninth time since 1977, and with a rare coalition of business, labor and liberal groups supporting the measure the opposition is changing tactics to fight it. The Christian Civic League is calling on lawmakers to create a task force to recommend ways to end all hate crimes, not just those against homosexuals.
