Abstract

Maine lawmakers have been flooded with calls from angry constitutents demanding the ouster of House Speaker John L. Martin, whose top aide pleaded guilty to burglary charges in the recent ballot-tampering scandal. Many of the calls are prompted by advertisements Republicans placed in newspapers around the state.
