Abstract

The Town of Scarborough is considering purchasing three private residences to provide housing for student firefighters who are majoring in fire science at Southern Maine Technical College. In return for free living quarters, the students serve as on-call firefighters nights and weekends, and are paid $8 per hour when they respond to calls.
