Abstract

Amvets Post 25 has plans for a memorial park on the Eastern Promenade honoring Major Charles J. Loring Jr. It has arranged for the donation of almost all the labor and materials but says the Portland Planning Board is holding up the plans. The park would be built on CB Circle in Portland overlooking Back Cove and Interstate 295.
