Abstract
A recent study of Greater Portland drinking water has prompted the Portland Water District to warn customers about the potential for lead in tap water. The study, conducted late last year, mirrors the measurements taken in early 1992, which showed that 68 percent of homes tested had lead levels which exceeded the federal safety standard.
