Abstract
The Freeport teachers union has suspended its work-to-rule job action, during which they performed only the work expressly required by their contract. The union, which is working under an expired agreement while a new contract is being negotited, cited progress in settlement talks and greater community awareness of the dispute as reasons for calling off the action.
