Abstract

Binax Inc. of South Portland, a fast-growing biotechnology company, said it will move to a 70,000-square-foot building on Read Street if the Portland City Council approves a low-interest loan of $240,000. Binax, which hopes to move to Portland in late summer, manufactures medical tests used by doctors to diagnose a variety of human conditions, as well as similar diagnostic tests for animals, food and the environment.
