Abstract

Cleanup crews working on the 63,000 gallon jet-fuel spill at Brunswick Naval Air Station plan to burn off the 18,000 gallons that remain in the marsh along the Androscoggin River, since pumping and other retreival methods have become either ineffective or too destructive to the marsh's ecosystem.
