Abstract

The Maine House voted 93-43 in favor of a bill that reaffirms a woman's right to an abortion in the early stages of pregnancy and eliminates a 48-hour waiting period that has never been enforced. The vote sets the stage for the bill to be enacted by both houses of the Legislature before being sent ot Gov. McKernan for his signature. Voting record.
