Abstract

Westbrook police are saying that their investigation into the erasure of a tape of a city council meeting in March has resulted in intimidating remarks by Councilor Don E. Richards, who allegedly suggested that the department needs to be reorganized and that some detectives should be moved to patrol duty. Police chief Ronald Allanach said he will turn the investigation over to the Cumberland County District Attorney's office.
