Abstract

Portland school administrators are considering ways to avoid a repeat of the outcry which followed the Deering High Diversity Day workshop which featured two lesbians who spoke candidly about sexual issues, offending some parents who attended the events. Being considered are specific guidelines for future speakers and the use of moderators to keep a discussion from getting off track.
