Abstract

Long article about Unum Corp.'s strategy for controlling workers' compensation costs while satisfying employees, which stress accommodation and encourages workers with small complaints to come forward in an attempt to fix the problems before they grow. As a resut, the company pays a fraction of wht Maine's other financial companies pay for workers' compensation coverage.
