Abstract

Cumberland County District Attorney Stephanie Anderson has said that she will retry former University of Southern Maine student Jon Steen, 23, of Westborough, Mass., on rape charges as soon as the court calendar permits. Steen's earlier conviction of gross sexual assault stemming from an incident at a fraternity party in Gorham in April 1991 was vacated by the Maine Supreme Judicial Court due to a technicality.
