Abstract

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Maine earned $10.6 million for 1992, down from $15.1 million in 1991, with the decrease in earnings accredited to an accounting change related to retiree benefits. Last year was the fourth in row that the company, with reserves of $80.6 million, posted a profit.
