Abstract

The Legislature's Judiciary Committee has delayed until next year action on the so-called Prager bill, which would prevent convicted felons from becoming lawyers. The bill was filed in response to the appointment of convicted drug smuggler Harvey Prager as a clerk to the Maine Supreme Judicial Court, and was postponed because the committee didn't have time for a public hearing.
