Abstract

The Maine Supreme Judicial Court has ruled that the state must pay for all of Jasper Wyman's legal bills in his court fight over an anti-gay rights petition. Wyman, director of the Christian Civic League of Maine, spent $42,000 for legal services after Secretary of State G. William Diamond refused to give Wyman a petition form for a planned referendum two years ago.
