Abstract

Portland-based Veterans for Peace, the 4,000-member national organization founded in 1985 which advocates against war, launched the Bosnian and Croation Rescue Project last month to bring injured youngsters to this country for free medical care. Jerry Genesio, 54, of Sweden, has been instrumental in thrusting Veterans for Peace into the international spotlight with the organization's new emphasis on humanitarian service.
