Abstract
Maine Public Safety Commissioner John R. Atwood said that the public has nothing to fear in using the Maine Turnpike. Atwood attempted to allay fears about structural safety following last week's incident involving Elizabeth A. Morris, who died after a chunk of asphalt-laced concrete smashed into her windshield as she drove under a turnpike overpass.
