Abstract

The Portland City Council gave qualified support to a move to build an aquarium in the city, which means supporters will probably go ahead with a $200,000 development plan. The aquarium is expected to cost between $30 million and $35 million, and the city would probably contribute between $6 million and $8 million of that figure.
