Abstract

Most of the people attending last night's public hearing on Central Maine Power Co.'s (CMP) rate hike request registered opposition to the request with the Public Utilities Commission. CMP, which serves about 485,000 customers in southern and central Maine, wants what would amount to a 10 percent rate hike.
