Abstract

Minneapolis-based Honeywell Inc. has offered to do provide the South Portland Board of Education with a free energy audit of the city's 11 public schools. If the board accepts the offer, the company will offer a plan to make the schools more energy efficient. It would guarantee that the costs for that work would be less than what it has cost to heat and light the buildings. Waterville and Yarmouth school departments have contracts with Honeywell.
