Abstract

Joseph D. Emmons, 48, a teacher at South Portland's Mahoney Middle School, pleaded innocent to charges of unlawful sexual contact and assault last week at his arraignment in Cumberland County Superior Court. Authorities had received earlier warnings about Emmons but ignored them.
