Abstract

The Baxter State Park Authority last week voted unanimously to uphold a ban on motorcycles in the park, and agreed to consider the issue of motor vehicle use and its impact on the 200,00-acre wilderness. Public use of the park has increased steadily over the past few years, prompting the authority to call for studies of motor vehicle access and how to manage it. Details.
