Abstract

The Maine Civil Liberties Union and the group Gay and Lesbian Advocates and Defenders have filed a lawsuit charging that the wording of a state ballot question proposed for next year is too vague for voters to understand it. The lawsuit, filed in Cumberland County Superior Court, is aimed at the Concerned Maine Families-sponsored question "An Act to Limit Protected Class Status under the Maine Human Rights Act."
