Abstract

New Hampshire fishermen, concerned that Maine's recently enacted ban on urchin harvesting during certain summer months will send Maine's sea urchin divers into New Hampshire waters, have asked state officials to close New Hampshire's urchin beds immediately. Maine closed its beds from July 9 to August 7 this year and will close them May 15 to August 15 every year after.
