Abstract

Officials from the Maine Department of Transportation plan to toughen the regulations for trucks carrying oversize loads. The move was prompted by an incident on the Maine Turnpike in June in which two individuals were killed when the disabled vehicle they were sitting in was hit by a truck hauling a mobile home.
