Abstract

Chairwoman Judith Clancy of the Yarmouth School Committee defends the committee against charges by Wayne Johnson that the committee's policy of not letting the public speak on issues not on the agenda is intended to stifle criticism. Clancy maintains that the policy make for more focused and productive meetings and notes that the public can have a topic added to the agenda by making a written request within one week of the meeting.
