Abstract

An Occupational Safety and Health Administration program aimed at reducing Maine's high level of on-the-job injuries and illnesses will give the 200 Maine employers who are participating the option of voluntarily conducting their own inspections and designing plans to address safety problems. The 200 companies, selected based on the volume of workers' compensation claims filed against them, employ 30 percent of Maine's workforce. Details.
