Abstract

Fewer than 3 percent of workers in Maine's construction trades are women, a figure that hasn't changed much over a decade in which Maine women have made gains in occupations such as medicine, law and corporate management. State officials and private groups are trying to change that by implementing new programs and laws to increase the participation of women in traditionally male trade and technical jobs. Details.
