Abstract

The Maine Korean War Veterans organization gathered Saturday at the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery to retrieve the marker from what they had hoped would be the site of a Korean War memorial at the cemetery. Objections from veterans of other wars forced the Korean War Veterans to abandon plans for a memorial at the cemetery, and they are currently looking for another site.
