Abstract

Sentiment is building to preserve the balconies in Portland City Hall Auditorium, which is to undergo renovations. Keeping the balconies would raise project costs more than $2 million. If the Auditorium Renovations Committee decides in favor of keeping the balconies, the issue would probably be sent to referendum, probably in May 1994.
