Abstract

A survey of 220 Portland residents conducted by Market Decisions of South Portland found that only 20 percent understood the wording of a state referendum sponsored by the group Concerned Maine Families which would limit protected classes under Maine law. Superior Court justice Kermit Lipez on Wednesday ruled that the 48-word text of the referendum was allowable, but said the title of the measure must be changed. Details.
