Abstract

Arnold Paul, president of the Metal Trades Council, the largest union representing workers at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery, has resigned from the Seacoast Shipyard Association's 13-member executive board. Paul said his action is in protest to the association's refusal to give shipyard workers greater say in running the association, which is a lobbying group working to save the shipyard from closure.
