Abstract
The Portland City Council on Monday denied a liquor license renewal to the Seamen's Club because of violations which occurred at Leo's Billiards, an adjacent pool room owned by the same company which owns the Seamen's. Councilors have indicated that they would reconsider the matter if Joseph L. Soley, whose company Monopoly Inc. owns the two businesses, would surrender the license held by Leo's. Details.
