Abstract

Lewiston's Bates Fabric Mills has begun manufacturing Indian blankets for an Arizona company called Boucher Boys and The Indian. The blankets are designed by Terro Enos, a Pima Indian, and sell for about $200 each. Bates used to sell over 50,000 bedspreads a week, but that line of sales is now down to 6,000 to 7,000 a week, according to company president Fred Lebel.
