Abstract

Thousands of Maine parents who owe child-support payments have contacted the state Department of Human Services since the agency sent written warnings to 18,000 offenders this week. Hundreds of payment agreements have also been received, apparently prompted by the potential loss of driving, fishing and occupational licenses faced by those who fail to pay support. Details.
