Abstract

Negotiations between the 700-member Portland Teachers Association and the Portland School Committee began in January, but the two sides have yet to reach an agreement on a new contract. Wages and health benefits are believed to be the major sticking points; meanwhile, teachers continue to honor the terms of the contract which expired August 31. Details, list of negotiating teams.
