Abstract

Maine State Police officials plan to establish an explosives team now that Brunswick Naval Air Station personnel will no longer be available for the task. Until the new team is trained and functioning, the state will rely on the explosives teams of the Bangor Police Department and the New Hampshire State Police. The Navy's bomb squad handled an average of 18 to 24 calls a year for the state.
