Abstract

Victor Mitchell, a senior at Portland High School, was arrested yesterday and charged with carrying a concealed weapon and with carrying a firearm on school property. The .380-caliber semiautomatic pistol was unloaded. School officials hope to expel Mitchell; they view the incident as a troubling but isolated event.
