Abstract

A natural gas consortium plans two new pipelines in Maine, one a 210-mile pipeline from Quebec to Westbrook and the other a replacement of an existing 83-mile line between Westbrook and Haverhill, Mass. The consortium consists of Shell Canada of Alberta; Granite State Gas Transmission Inc; Tenneco Gas; and Gaz Metropolitan of Montreal. Details, including anticipated property tax payments to affected Maine towns.
