Abstract

A survey by Southern Maine Construction Reports of Falmouth indicates that housing starts in 45 southern Maine municipalities rose 1.9 percent in August, to 158 from 155 in July. Nationally, housing starts for the same period were up 7.8 percent, while the Northeast as a whole experienced a 6.21 percent decline. Details.
