Abstract

A conference will be held next week at Portland's Holiday Inn by the Bay to consider the pros and cons of having children attend school year-round. The idea is particularly troubling to owners of tourist-related business who fear that their businesses could be severely hurt by such a change. Fifty-seven school districts plan to send representatives to the conference. With a partial list of the participating school districts.
