Abstract

One of an occasional series on entrepreneurs in Maine. Douglas McAllister of Cape Elizabeth, owner of Virostat in South Portland, recently received a $19,000 grant from the University of Maine's Center for Innovation in Biomedical Technology. The grant will go toward McAllister's other venture, Biode Inc., which is trying to develop a device designed to help diagnose such diseases as cervical cancer.
