Abstract

Neale A. Duffett and Joel Vincent, the two lawyers representing William A. Bruns, were in court Monday to ask Superior Court justice Paul A. Fritzsche to rule that the initial police search of Bruns' home was illegal and that any evidence seized there should be excluded from the trial. Bruns is accused of killing his wife Pearl, whose bound body was found in a grave in the basement of the Bruns' South Portland home in September 1992, 13 months after she was reported missing.
