Abstract

Because of an exceptional Christmas shopping season, L.L. Bean employees will get bonuses amounting to 17 1/2 percent of their annual wages. The average bonus is $3,758. Employees eligible for profit sharing will also get a 5 percent contribution to their retirement fund. Bean sales last year totaled $743 million.
