Abstract

An official with the Maine State Police says their investigation into the Maine Turnpike accident which killed four Lewiston-area teenagers has determined that the driver of the tractor-trailer was at fault in the incident. Police findings indicate that the vehicle carrying the youths was completely in the breakdown lane when the accident occurred, and that the driver never applied his brakes prior to the impact.
